Andreas Roell
CEO & President
Andreas Roell is co-founder, President and CEO of Geary Interactive. Actively involved in accounts, Andreas drives Geary's forward progress with industry knowledge and a commitment to providing the highest quality services. Under his direction, Geary has developed organically into one of San Diego's fastest growing companies. Prior to forming the agency, Andreas co-founded Prime Player, the Internet's first portal for sports participants.
Outside of his duties at Geary, Andreas contributes to many publications and speaks at national conferences and universities as an industry expert. Andreas serves on the Interactive Advertising Bureau and is the San Diego Ad Council’s president.
A native of Karlsruhe, Germany, Andreas was voted one of San Diego's Top Businessmen under 40. He received his MBA from the University of San Diego, magna cum laude.
John McKusick
Executive Vice President & Director of Performance Marketing
Los Angeles born, John McKusick is co-founder and Executive Vice President of Geary Interactive. A talented creative and industry veteran, John built Geary's creative, technology, and search marketing departments; he currently heads up the Performance Marketing Group.
Accruing more than forty design awards and thirteen years of digital marketing experience, John is an interactive expert and pioneer. His determination stems from a passion for the digital world and the influence it has over behavioral change. As an innovative thinker, John inspires clients and colleagues to create engaging experiences that generate responses.
John has managed projects for clients such as General Mills, Nixon, TRUMP, and Kyocera. He studied at Point Loma University and the Advertising Arts College in San Diego. McKusick enjoys sharing his insights through industry round tables and publications. He is also a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), American Advertising Federation (AAF), and the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB).
Kevin Hawke
Managing Director, San Diego
Kevin Hawke oversees and streamlines all operations to ensure that the entire Geary team produces the highest quality services for clients. A team member for over two years, Kevin was previously the account services director where he served as the liaison between clients and Geary’s internal departments.
A ten-year veteran of the interactive industry, Kevin has worked with a long list of influential clients including the Gillette Corporation, Campbell Soup Company, Nestle Corporation, Sony Pictures Digital, Intuit TurboTax—just to name a few.
Kevin supports and contributes to his profession through memberships at the San Diego Ad Club and the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s Digital Video Committee. Kevin received his Bachelor’s degree from Long Beach State University.
Laurie Kuhn
Manager, Strategic Planning & Analytics
At Geary Interactive, Laurie Kuhn leads the strategic planning and analytics departments (SP&A). Laurie and her team partner with Geary's clients to define business objectives, create digital roadmaps, and establish metrics for success. At the heart of Geary's strategically-led approach, SP&A guides the agency with the philosophy of marketing accountability.
Laurie is passionate about recognizing and meeting consumer needs which ultimately deliver on sales and ROI goals.
By combining clients' business objectives with consumer needs and insights, Laurie provides clients with an integrated marketing perspective across Geary's full suite of service offerings.
Laurie is a digital veteran of over 10 years, and before joining Geary, she worked with such national brands as Capital One, Barnes & Noble.com, and Disney. Showing determination in all she does, Laurie triumphed over the long standing record when she skipped rope for a half an hour—without stop—in the fifth grade.
Laurie received her Bachelors in International Business from the University of Michigan.
Robyn Freye
Sales & Marketing Manager
As sales and marketing manager, Robyn Freye leads all business development and internal marketing and public relations initiatives. She brings several years of experience to her position with previous roles in marketing, sales, project management and client services.
Prior to joining Geary Interactive in 2005, Robyn worked for San Diego Magazine and the San Diego Business Journal. She has worked with several national and local brands including Staples, DR Horton, Xerox, WD-40 Company and United Business Media.
A summa cum laude graduate of San Diego State University, Robyn's lifetime goal is to solve the Rubik's Cube in fewer than 6 steps. She is enthusiastic about identifying new strategic partnerships and making them a part of the Geary Interactive family. Robyn has also served on several marketing committees for Athena, AMA and the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB).
Dan Bucko
Senior Director, Art
As Geary's Senior Art Director, Dan Bucko manages clients' creative strategy, vision, management and execution. A self proclaimed "brandgelist," Dan strives to infuse technology with passion. He subscribes to a brand interaction philosophy that promotes measurability, accountability and convergence while simultaneously building user loyalty.
Dan has worked at several creative agencies including Cyberworks and Venture Catalyst; he also ran his own creative agency, PurMedia. Previous clients include: Schwinn, Disney, 21st Century Insurance, Ford, American Golf, Balance Bar, and Costco.
Besides being the fastest kid in his 3rd grade class, Dan has earned numerous awards for online design. He is a member of the DMA and previously taught design and Web development at the University of California extension program.
Dan graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Sociology.
Grant Reinero
Art Director
As Geary Interactive's Art Director, Grant Reinero guides the creative direction of client campaigns and supervises project management. Joining Geary in 2006, Grant also directs all branding initiatives and works cooperatively with the senior art director on client projects and creative development.
Previously working with brands like Virgin and American Eagle, Grant brings an innovative perspective that is forged into all of Geary's creative projects. Entering the advertising arena at a dynamic, pivotal time, Grant adapts to emerging trends and consistently generates impeccable work.
Understanding that all marketing plans demand an online component, Grant's traditional agency experience bridges the tried and true techniques of old with the cutting edge advancements of today.
Renee Brown
Manager, Media
As the Media Manager of Geary Interactive, Renee is responsible for the internal management, leadership, and evolution of the media team. Renee prides herself on achieving her clients goals through display, email, mobile, paid search, newsletters, and sponsorships.
Through her strong relationships with leading networks and major online publishers she is able to help negotiate top strategies and best value for each client. Her extensive targeting expertise allows her to reach the clients audience and continue to introduce new consumers to her clientele’s brands and products. Renee continues to drive the highest level of campaign management and through continual optimization she is able to maximize ROI. M&T Bank, Eddie Bauer, Trump International, and University of Phoenix are just a few clients Renee has worked with throughout her career.
Besides Renee’s passion for media she is also an avid music aficionado and frequently attends concerts and live shows. When she’s not concert hopping she is devoted to the advertising community. She frequently attends events for the San Diego Ad Club and is a member of the IAB UGC committee. Renee attended Arizona State University where she was an English major and also spent a summer abroad studying French in Paris, France.

As Geary's SEO Swami, Andrew works to integrate search engine optimization tactics into each client service offering to drive maximum campaign ROI. Andrew's diverse client background gives him a clear understanding of all aspects of full solution marketing campaigns, and allows him to create unique project strategies to address each client's specific goals.
Andrew's combination of technical, sales, and marketing experience gives him the ability to effectively communicate with all members of client organizations throughout a campaign’s development and implementation. WD-40, SC Johnson, M&T Bank, and American Apparel are just a few clients that have benefited from Andrew's wide-ranging expertise.
Always striving to advance the interactive advertising community, Andrew sits on the IAB Search committee. Andrew graduated from Syracuse University's college of engineering with a B.S. in Computer Science, and spent his junior year studying abroad at the City University of London.
