Business Development Manager

Matrix Media Technologies is a leading edge provider of SEO services as part of Geary Group, a digital holding company providing next generation digital services for today’s marketers.We have an outstanding growth opportunity for a business development professional to handle all aspects of our sales efforts.

Candidates must have experience selling internet marketing services, and preferably a background in SEO. Responsibilities include prospecting, converting inbound leads and closing new business. This role with have an expansive role in forming business development strategy and execution.

Core Responsibilities:

+ Manages the phases of Business Development initiatives through research and planning to pitches, proposals, scope of work (SOW) documents and contracts
+ Prospects for new clients; attending networking events, warm calling, researching and indentifying new client opportunities
+ Understands new clients products/services and makes recommendations in conjunction with other internal business units
+ Interfaces with potential clients on all levels and functions to understand and manage client expectations
+ Acts as key liaison between potential client and internal SEO team

+ Manages client on-board process and transition to the Account Services Department
+ Presents company capabilities presentations to potential clients
+ Writes project proposals, responds to RFP's/ RFI's, creates PowerPoint presentations and drafts client contracts
+ Meets sales quotas as they relate to profitability and profit margin

Proven and Successful Experience In:

+ Successfully selling internet marketing services
+ Strong San Diego market knowledge including companies, events and associations
+ Strong consultative sales skills for market outreach

+ Properly defining client opportunities
+ Strong ability to set up new prospect meetings
+ Proven established network of C level relationships based on previous sales and marketing activities
+ Preferred experience selling and knowledge of SEO services
+ Experience in supporting fundraising and road show efforts
+ Ability to generate sales traction (clients, partnerships, industry exposure) within the first three months
