SAN DIEGO, CA - March 5, 2009 - Geary Interactive was awarded second place in Omniture's Developer's Challenge for the creation of Geary Search Positions, an application that bridges the gap between search engine rankings, landing page behavior and web analytics.

Geary Search Positions is designed to bring search engine page rank information together with keywords, search engines and landing pages to get a complete view of which variables impact website traffic.

Specifically it can track how keywords are gaining traffic overtime; monitor trends and impact on traffic as search positions vary; and identify areas where content and keywords can be optimized.

John Nguyen, Geary's Lead Web Developer, was the developer behind the application. "I worked really closely with our web analytics team to develop this application. They expressed a need to see a more complete picture of how search engine rankings affect website traffic and behavior," said Nguyen. "We collaborated on the functionality of the application to make sure that they would be armed with the most comprehensive data."
